|
Under the supervision of the Senior Accountant, the Accountant II position is a journey-level position that performs a wide range of accounting work including, but not limited to the preparation and processing of financial transactions, bank reconciliation, fixed asset records, journal entries, monthly and quarterly financial reports, reconciling accounts and balancing to the General Ledger, and assist with budget development and the agency’s annual audit.
The ideal candidate possesses a high school diploma or GED and a combination of education and experience providing necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to satisfactorily perform the job. Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree with coursework in accounting or related field and governmental work experience are highly desirable.
