BUDGET & OPERATIONS ANALYST III

We are currently recruiting for two Budget and Operations Analyst III positions in the Controller’s Office. Responsibilities include facilitating development of the City’s budget, implementing fiscal control policies and providing analysis and recommendations on policy, managerial, operational and budgetary issues affecting the City of Oakland.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Economics, Finance or closely related field, 4 years of increasingly responsible budget and operations analysis experience in local government or another complex fiscal organization, and knowledge of governmental budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and management/training principles and practices. Requires strong computer, multi-tasking, analytical, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills. A Master’s degree may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
