Please join us on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 for Utility Finance Officers of Orange County meeting – facilitated by the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers Association. Our speaker will be Adán Ortega, Jr. and he will be discussing SB 998 (implementation date 2/1/20), which restricts water shut-offs and mandates a 60-day waiting period for delinquents. Adán will also review the status of AB 401, the Low-Income Water Rate Assistance Act and the solutions that are being discussed. Both of these bills will have a big financial and operational impact on every utility finance department and Adán has the inside track on what the state will require so come get prepared for the inevitable!

The meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. at the Coachella Valley Water District Administration Building in Palm Desert. Adán will talk from 12 p.m. to 12:50, with questions and answers throughout and after.

There is no cost for this meeting. Lunch will be provided by our generous sponsor Mia Corral from Chandler Assets Management.

One hour of CPE will issued for CPAs.

Please RSVP to Cindy Byerrum by Friday, January 18th at [email protected]
