Intermediate Governmental Accounting / Financial Reporting

We are excited to announce the Intermediate Governmental Accounting/Financial Reporting class is back and we will be delivering this Course content online!

The Intermediate Governmental Accounting/Financial Reporting class welcomes all accountants who are new to the government sector and anyone who would like to gain a better understanding of governmental accounting and financial reporting. The course focuses on the year-end close process and financial reporting, with a primary emphasis on understanding the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).  Participants with new or expanding responsibilities for government accounting and financial reporting are encouraged to attend.

The course will be delivered in three sessions:

Session I:  Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020 1:00pm – 3:30pm

Session II:  Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 1:00pm – 3:30pm

Session III:  Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 1:00pm – 3:30pm

 

The class will cover these topics:

      Session I:   Governmental Accounting – Overview/Review of Basic Concepts

      Session II:  Year-End Close

      Session III:  Financial Reporting – Audited Financial Statements, Understanding the CAFR, Other Reports, What’s Coming from GASB
