The City of Alameda, CA, is seeking a Financial Services Manager ($122,080 – $148,389/yearly based on a four-day, 36-hour workweek) to join our team and experience the vibrant feel of this Bay Area island community!  The Finance Department delivers services that are integral to the City’s operation every day including preparing and publishing the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), the Operating and Capital Budgets, and various Quarterly Reports.  We’re seeking a technically savvy supervisor with experience overseeing day-to-day financial activities and operations including budget, accounting, debt and treasury, payroll, purchasing and accounts payable activities.  The Financial Services Manager will have primary management responsibility over the auditing and accounting functions for the City and will provide supervision for seven Finance staff members.  Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, financial management, economics, business administration or related field AND four years of progressively responsible professional financial management experience with substantial supervisory experience.  Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA), or Public Finance Officer (CPFO) and experience working with municipal government financial operations and services are desirable. APPLY ON-LINE  TODAY ( as this recruitment closes at 5:00 pm on Monday, February 25, 2019.
