The City of Laguna Woods (16,500) is located in South Orange County adjacent to Irvine, Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo and Laguna Beach. It is an active adult community known for its attractive open space and myriad recreation opportunities. The Administrative Services Director/City Treasurer reports to the City Manager and oversees one of four City departments, two employees and the functions of finance, accounting, purchasing, payroll, human resources, and information technology, as well as administration of insurance and workers compensation programs.

 

This is an excellent opportunity if you are a highly functioning financial professional able to support and relieve subordinates, self reliant, outcomes oriented with high performance expectations of yourself and others, are able to keep deadlines and commitments, and are energized by this exciting opportunity. The position requires at least five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in relevant operations in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree and/or certification as a California Municipal Treasurer or Certified Public Accountant is highly desirable. The annual salary is $110,982- $155,374.
