Finance Analyst I:
Education/Training:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, public administration, business administration, or related field.
Experience:
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience performing complex financial analysis, revenue and cash forecasting, preferably in a governmental agency.

Finance Analyst II:
Education/Training:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, public administration, business administration, or related field.
Experience:
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience performing complex financial analysis, revenue and cash forecasting, preferably in a governmental agency.

The City of Elk Grove is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual for the position of Finance Analyst I/II. 

 

Under department direction, the incumbent will performs a wide variety of professional level financial analysis in organizing and overseeing department budget, asset management, procurement, department fiscal responsibility, special tax assessment and/or fee program administration and grant administration; duties may involve review and financial analysis of policies, procedures, contracts, grants, and special projects; prepares recommendations for management; coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies.  Specific duties of individual positions may vary considerably, and analytical, budgetary, and fiscal duties may be a major or minor part of individual jobs depending on location and assignment.
