Monthly Salary: $8,908.81 - $11,369.01

The Municipal Utilities Department is seeking an individual who can develop goals and objectives, supervise staff, administer the department's annual budget, and financial operations while maintaining close coordination with City administrative, budget, and financial services. Work is done under Director of Municipal Utilities and will perform the most complex accounting functions to substantiate short and long-term capital improvement financing strategies, including financial and some administration services for the water, sewer, and storm water enterprises.  The incumbent will work a City of Stockton 9/80 work schedule - 7:30am to 5:30pm, Mondays through Thursdays; 8:00am to 5:00pm on Fridays, with alternating Fridays off.

Education/Experience: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, public administration, business administration, finance or a closely related field, and five (5) years of senior management or supervisory experience in accounting, financial management, or budgeting, preferably in a public agency or governmental setting.  A Master's degree and possession of valid California registration as a Certified Accountant (CPA) are desirable.
